“Cosmos” Demo Single Lesson
A very popular colorful Painting
The next in my list of single lessons I am releasing is the “Cosmos” demonstration. This is a pretty and fun flower painting…a good one to learn to paint clear glass and colorful flowers.
Tip: When painting clear glass, one mistake a lot of artists make is they put in light or white along the outside front of the entire piece of glass. This kind of kills the illusion of glass because you can see it all the way through the entire structure of the glass with no transparent area along the edges.. Also, this has a tendency to make the glass look a little bit on the chalky side. Even in this painting I feel like I overplayed it a little bit too much. You can also add a little bit of dust to the shoulder of the bottle to make it look a little bit more three-dimensional and age it a bit. Another small note that you can take into this painting with you …is whenever you’re painting flowers try to look for a couple spots where you can put down some Pure Color almost straight from the tube…This will make the painting look even richer and cleaner.
