I was taken with the daily life of the fishermen…This painting was inspired by a trip I took to the Olympic Peninsula in the state of Washington.  I was at the Quileute Indian Reservation on the upper peninsula near the town of Forks, WA. I saw this man fishing with Nets and I thought it was very interesting in the way he could maneuver his boat while standing in it. The whole process was amazing to me. So, I followed him around by walking on the shore until I found the perfect picture. The light and clouds were magnificent that day. I probably drove that poor man crazy with all the photos I took of him but I really ended up loving this photograph and the painting that followed….  -Daniel Edmondson
