  The next in my list of single lessons I am releasing is the “Yellow Gerbera Daisy” demonstration.  This is from my First DVD collection: Starter Still Life. It is the most difficult painting in that course but just take your time with the flowers and you will be fine.

   Painting Tip:      When painting flowers often times they will fall into one of two categories either some spherical/ball shaped or teacup shaped. When painting remember this structure so that you get the light in the shadow patterns right on your flowers this is simple tip but it is so critical to remember. Once in awhile you run across a flower that’s just pretty much flat and the light hits it evenly on both sides but that is pretty rare so if you think that’s what’s going on double check for either a sphere shape or at teacup shape .
